About Nathan

Nathan has been a commercial surf forecaster since 1996, has authored books on surf forecasting and climate change, has been a professional software engineer since the mid 1980s, and provides professional photography services as well.

As a marine forecaster, Nathan has been the chief forecaster for SwellWatch.com since 1999, and created the automated WaveCast® software generating models and forecasts at WaveCast.com. Nathan's affiliations include the American Meteorological Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Nathan's been a yearly guest speaker at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and has been a regular guest on the Surf Talk Radio Network.
